Summertime is the best time to enjoy the beauty of African coffees. This summer, we're psyched to offer a new origin for 802 Coffee: Burundi. This coffee comes from several smallholder farms near the Migoti Washng Station. We see the growth of speciality coffee production in Burundi evidenced in the increase in small washing stations. This allows for more specific lot separation which in turn retains the unique cup characteristics of the micro climates that exist.
In the cup we found grapefruit, layered florals of apple blossom, jasmine, and honeysuckle. The finish is sparkling and sweet. If you're looking for a tasty and refreshing coffee to brew over ice as the weather heats up, this would be a great choice!
